







Telefónica invited us to define a public space that would increase the ICT use in businesses and citizens of Barcelona. The space had to focus on the uses and users' needs and not just on technology and its characteristics. The goal was to become an international reference, where a public initiative would generate a strong implication in the public sector, through a self-financed proposal.

The result was the design of a living laboratory, an interchange space, where companies would present their new technologies and users would test and improve them. The center works around two objectives: to convert Barcelona in a technology reference and to generate business via ‘try and buy' experimentation. The result we provided was the concept design of a new space, concretised by a report of future activities, space definition and organisation, and a business and operational plan for the first year.
